Culture of Cultures: A Small Step Towards Augmenting Diagnostic Stewardship

A hospital-based clinical audit within the Department of General Medicine focused on antimicrobial stewardship (AMSP) to evaluate practices and identify areas for improvement. The audit identified strategic opportunities to optimize prescription patterns, reduce unwarranted antimicrobial use, and enhance adherence to guidelines. Targeted interventions, including educational initiatives and performance feedback, resulted in a significant enhancement of antimicrobial prescribing practices, enhancing patient care and mitigating antibiotic resistance.
